Many projectors will be quite happy with Component Video at various resolutions through their VGA connections, but you need to check the specs. Older CRT rear projection HDTV’s are often very picky about the signals they will accept hdtv cable and may only accept RGB/HV in which case a Transcoding RGB to Component Video converter will be necessary. There are also special case projectors and Commercial displays that don’t use these common cables. Connect your HDTV or Projector with unusual requirements or simple requirements.
