While acupuncture treatment for aiding in infertility treatment may help a woman become pregnant after the transfer of a healthy embryo, researchers have noted that acupuncture treatment cannot repair an embryo with chromosomal defects or other abnormalities. It is also not effective for women with structural problems causing their infertility in the first place. It does help to calm down the women who were undergoing the embryo transplant and make it a more pleasant experience for them. It was found that women are more positive about the possibility of pregnancy and hence are more relaxed during the entire IVF process.
