As an FDA Consultant, I Hope to Be Able to Influence Policies and Procedures

I just recently applied for a higher position within the government agency for whom I work. My goal is to eventually become an FDA Consultant, and to that end, I have been working in various departments within the FDA. I want to really understand the full scope of this very important agency because I believe that its policies and restrictions can actually save lives. Watching over trusting consumers is a huge responsibility, but our market would constantly be flooded with potentially untried and possibly unsafe products, if it were not for the FDA. I hope to eventually be in a position where I can have a voice to influence policies and procedures that will be for the benefit of everyone.
